Before you turn on your hose bib this season make sure it didn't freeze over winter. Have a hose connected with the nozzle turned off and turn it on slowly. The hissing noise will stop once the hose gets to pressure. If it doesn't, turn it off quickly as the hose bib has likely frozen and cracked.
